Pastoral care for Breeze churches.

Keep your people in Breeze. Track their care in Notice.

Notice Care is pastoral care software that connects to Breeze ChMS. Type your Breeze web address, paste your API key, and your people come into Care with their email, phone, birthday and anniversary. Every night Notice picks up whoever's new or changed. Your care team logs needs and follow-ups in Notice, and nothing in Breeze changes.

Connect in about a minute.

  1. Get your API key from Breeze. Your Breeze account owner finds it under Manage Account → API Key. Breeze doesn't offer a sign-in for outside apps, so the key is how Notice connects.
  2. Open People in Notice and tap Connect Breeze. A church admin types your Breeze web address (like yourchurch.breezechms.com) and pastes the key. Notice checks both with Breeze before saving them, so a typo shows up right away.
  3. Tap Sync now. Your people start coming into Care.
  4. Leave it alone. Every night around 2 AM your church's time, Notice picks up anyone new or changed.

Breeze allows about 20 requests a minute. If a large church's first sync hits that limit, it pauses and carries on by itself within the hour. Nothing to redo.

The details your care team actually uses.

  • Everyone on your Breeze People list. Archived people are left out, same as in Breeze.
  • Email and phone. Notice uses the primary email and picks the mobile number first, then home, then work.
  • Birthday, in whatever date format your Breeze account uses.
  • Anniversary, if you keep one. Breeze has no built-in anniversary field, so Notice looks for a date field on your profiles with a name like Anniversary, Wedding Date, Marriage Date or Wedding Anniversary.
  • A starting category. New people come in as Regular Attender. Change anyone's category anytime.

Breeze stays the source of truth.

Read-onlyNotice never changes anything in Breeze.
No duplicatesAnyone already in Care is matched by email or name and updated in place.
Nothing lostArchive or delete someone in Breeze and Notice hides them in Care. Their notes stay. If they come back, they reappear.
Your dates stay yoursBirthdays and anniversaries you typed into Notice are never overwritten by the sync.

Once your people are in, your care team gets to work.

  • A care board that sorts needs by urgency: High, Medium, Low and Encouraging.
  • Follow-ups with a name and a "follow up by" date, plus a notification to whoever has it on the day it's due.
  • Confidential notes you can limit to admins or only yourself.
  • A monthly care report that lists open needs nobody has touched in 30 days.

Breeze questions.

Our Breeze API key can change anything. What does Notice do with it?

You're right that a Breeze key has full access; that's how Breeze keys work. Notice uses it only to read three things: your people, your list of profile fields (to find an anniversary field) and your account name. It never writes to Breeze. The key is kept on Notice's servers and only a church admin can connect or replace it.

Where do I find our Breeze web address?

It's the address you use to sign in to Breeze, like yourchurch.breezechms.com. Notice also accepts the full link or just the "yourchurch" part.

We don't track anniversaries in Breeze. Is that a problem?

No. Everything else still comes over. You can add anniversaries in Notice by hand, or add a date field named Anniversary to your Breeze profiles and Notice picks it up on the next sync.

Our first sync stopped partway. Did something break?

Probably not. Breeze limits how fast outside apps can read, so a large church's first sync may pause. It carries on by itself within the hour and finishes where it left off.

What if we reset our API key in Breeze?

The old key stops working, so the nightly sync can't reach Breeze. A church admin reconnects Breeze in Notice with the new key, and syncing picks up again. Your people and notes in Care stay put.

Does the connection cost extra?

No. It's included with Notice Care, which is $10 per care user per month (two-user minimum), or part of the $49/month Team + Care bundle.

Is Notice made by Breeze?

No. Notice is an independent product. It connects through Breeze's API and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Breeze.
