These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your church’s and your use of Notice, a software service for church staff task management (“Notice Team”) and pastoral-care coordination (“Notice Care”), provided by Rodney Booe (“Provider,” “we,” “us”). By signing in, subscribing, or clicking to accept, you agree to these Terms. If you are accepting on behalf of a church or organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind it.
1. The service
Notice is a hosted, multi-tenant web application that helps church staff and volunteers track tasks, meetings, and pastoral follow-ups. Each church’s data is kept separate from every other church’s. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
2. Accounts and access
- Access is by invitation only. A church administrator adds people by email; there is no public sign-up.
- Sign-in uses one-time email codes or links. There are no passwords. Keep access to your email account secure — anyone who can receive your email can sign in as you.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for the accuracy of the information you enter.
- A church administrator can invite, correct, or remove members of their church, and controls which sections (Team and/or Care) each person may use.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use Notice for any unlawful purpose; upload content you have no right to share; attempt to access another church’s data or to break, probe, or overload the service; or use the service to harass or harm others. You are responsible for using Notice — especially pastoral-care information — lawfully, ethically, and with appropriate confidentiality.
4. Your data
- You own your content. The information your church enters (people, notes, tasks, follow-ups) remains yours. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display it solely to provide the service.
- We handle personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.
- On request, or on account termination, we will make your church’s data available for export and/or delete it within a reasonable period, subject to routine backups.
5. Subscriptions, billing, and refunds
- Notice is offered on paid subscription plans (per church, with per-user seats for the Care section) and, in some cases, on complimentary or founding terms.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically for the interval you choose (monthly or annual) until canceled. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from the billing screen; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
- Adding Care seats mid-cycle is prorated by Stripe.
- 30-day money-back: if you are not satisfied within 30 days of your first payment, contact us for a full refund of that payment.
6. Availability
We work to keep Notice available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, and we rely on third-party providers (hosting, email, payments) whose availability we do not control.
7. Disclaimers
Notice is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Notice is a coordination tool; it is not a substitute for professional, legal, medical, or counseling judgment, and it does not provide emergency services. In an emergency, contact your local emergency number.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Provider will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data or profits. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim.
9. Termination
You may stop using Notice and cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or to comply with law. On termination, the license to your content ends except as needed to complete export or deletion.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we will provide notice (for example, in-app or by email). Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the Provider is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
