Built in a church office.
Rodney Booe has spent more than 25 years in full-time ministry at Campbellsville Christian Church in Central Kentucky, wearing just about every hat imaginable. One of them was Executive Minister, running the weekly staff meeting. Notice is the tool he built for that job.
Every church office leaks in the same 2 places.
Work said out loud in a meeting. Somebody says "we should email the parents," everybody nods, and nobody owns it. By Thursday it's gone.
People who quietly drift. Someone misses a few Sundays, then a few more. Everyone assumes somebody else checked in. Nobody meant for it to happen. There just wasn't one place where "someone should check on them" turned into a name and a date.
Notice puts both in one place. Notice Team turns the staff meeting into tasks with an owner and a due date. Notice Care gives your care team one shared list of who needs a follow-up, who has it, and when it's due.
Rodney has written about both: how to run a staff meeting that ends in owned tasks and what to do when someone misses 3 Sundays.
Built for one church staff first.
Notice started at Campbellsville Christian Church, and the staff there use it day to day. Meeting notes live in one shared place. Tasks and events have an owner and a status you can check without asking.
And when someone needs a visit, a phone call or a follow-up, they're on the list with a name next to them.
A small, independent product.
Notice is run by Rodney as a sole proprietor in Green County, Kentucky, where he and his wife are raising their family (and a flock of chickens). The person who answers your email is the person who builds the app.
Churches pay a subscription for it. There's no advertising, and your data is never the product.
A one-person company is a fair thing to wonder about when you're trusting it with care notes. Here's what protects you:
You'll get support from the person who built it.
If something isn't working, I'll get on the phone with you and walk through it together. If you ask a question, I'll follow up until it's answered.
And if your church needs Notice to do something it doesn't do yet, tell me. I welcome feature requests, and I read every one.
